I have worked in the Sunderland area since my qualification as a GP in 2019 and

currently work as a GP Partner, GP Trainer and GPSI in Diabetes at Southlands

Medical Group in Ryhope. I am lucky enough to be a product of the Sunderland GP

Career Start Scheme and have also held the role of CCG Clinical Lead for Diabetes

during the latter stages of the CCG, understanding political channels and the wider

system from this role. I have previously supported local services such as the

Extended Access Service and Recovery at Home as well. My journey in General

Practice has been fortunate to allow me to learn from numerous GP Leaders within

the current local system.

I am keen to assist GP Practices in Sunderland as a member of the Local Medical

Committee, utilising my experience and enthusiasm to assist GP Practices going

forward, including the challenges that may arise from the implementation and

delivery of the recently published NHS 10 Year Health Plan.
