General Practice Support Service

The North East & North Cumbria Regional LMC funded Employee Assistance Programme is available to GP Partners, General Practitioners (including locums), Practice Managers and all admin and nursing staff employed within general practice across Sunderland.


Following a rebrand, the service is now known as HealthHero Assist.


The HealthHero Assist Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) is a confidential and independent counselling and information service. The freephone support line gives access to telephone counselling, practical information and guidance for personal and work-related issues. If appropriate, short-term brief therapy counselling can be arranged for you.


You can call the confidential EAP on the Freephone number 0800 970 9040. When contacting HealthHero Assist please state your practice is covered by the North East & Cumbria contract. The service is available 7 days a week all year round.


The LMC will only be advised of the number of people who have contacted the service.


Wellbeing Hub (previously known as vClub) - is an excellent source of information and guidance on a very wide range of mental health and wellbeing related topics. With access to monthly newsletters, insightful articles and short videos, there are lots of ideas on ways to improve your day to day wellbeing.


You will need to login with the generic username: NEC_RLMC and password: EAPvClub. You will then be prompted to set up your own username and password.
